The Bolte legacy in Victoria is represented by growth in infrastructure, economic development, small business prosperity and Victorian pride.
It was a time of hope, future building and securing Victoria's place as the jewel in Australia's crown.
It’s time to build on the Bolte legacy, revitalise our cities and regions, strengthen our small business community and energise the Victorian tradition of home ownership, individual liberty and economic prosperity.
The Bolte agenda was described as "the most far-reaching and reformist" that Victoria had seen in decades, with 60 Bills formulated and processed in just three months.
These Bills (later Acts) addressed economic development, cost of living, union influence and government expenditure.
It was those core policy areas that made Victoria the envy of all other States and enshrined the comfort and standard of living that we continue to enjoy.
In a post pandemic world it has never been more important to further historical education and understanding around these issues, accomplishments, and policies.
